A passion for theatrical production and all things “musical theatre” is the driving force behind creating Time to Celebrate!  Ric has been producing for the stage since the age of 15 when he began staging shows at his local community center.  By the age of 19 he began producing professionally and since then his credits include over one hundred theme park shows, industrial shows and musical reviews across the country.  Professional production credits include

  • Dallas Theatre Center, Dallas, Texas
  • The Nancy Lee and Perry R. Bass Performance Hall, Fort Worth, Texas
  • The Dallas Museum of Art, Dallas, Texas
  • Casa Manana Theatre, Fort Worth, Texas
  • Six Flags Theme Parks

As a member of Actors Equity Association, Ric performed as a professional actor, singer and dancer in local and regional theatres including Dallas Theatre Center, Dallas Summer Musicals, Casa Mañana Musicals, Theatre Three, Circle Theatre, Plano Repertory Theater and the Opera Theater at Wildwood national tour of “Side By Side By Sondheim”.  Having a true love of children’s theatre and the color and fantasy that it encompasses, Ric also performed in the David Kirschner national tours of “Rose Petal Place” and “Rainbow Brite”.

Ric served as primary director choreographer for Six Flags Over Texas for eight seasons, writing staging and designing shows including the long-running “Arania’s Nightmare” now in its seventeenth season.  Other theme park work includes shows at Astroworld, Great Adventure, Jazzland and Six Flags Mid-America.

For five years Ric worked with the team of WOW! Entertainment, Inc. conceiving and creating multiple stage shows and video spots.  As Theatrical Director for WOW! Ric developed the entire show format for Jazzland Theme Park in New Orleans, Louisiana.

As an award winning costume designer, Ric has designed and created wardrobe for more than one hundred plays, musicals, children’s shows, videos, industrials and musical revues. Ric was also staff costume designer at Casa Manana in Fort Worth, Texas where he designed and coordinated shows for The Children’s Playhouse, the Silver Dome Series and the Broadway at the Bass series.

Most recently Ric had the pleasure of designing the costumes for “The Shape of Things”, “Fat Pig” and “Reasons to be Pretty”  by Neil Labute at the Dallas Theatre Center, and the Trinity Shakespeare Festival’s production of “Hamlet”.

It is a true love of theater that encourages Ric to continue to nurture his production and design skills in a niche ideally suited for his talents.
